About Penlac

Through our work

Penlac Co. Ltd was established in 1985 as a parastatal organisation that operated as a joint venture between the Government of Seychelles and a Mauritian company, Mauvilac. In 1995, the company was tendered for sale publicly and it was bought over by a well established private concern. In private sector hands, the company has weathered many storms and through hard work and diligence, it has managed to come out on top. Penlac has armed itself with a mission of producing and creating superior quality paints and coatings for the domestic market. As a small 100% Seychellois run industry, we are able to customise our paint products for our clients based on our colour coded charts. Our customised solutions come from both our product chemistry and our chemistry with customers. This process-driven, service-oriented approach is our formula for successful business and customer relationships that add value to our products.

Health, safety & the environment

We respect the importance of health and safety and the impact of chemicals on the environment, and that commitment runs through our policies and actions. Some of our raw materials generate zero VOCs, and we manufacture eco-friendly water-based paint products. Throughout our manufacturing operations we work actively to reduce the impact on human health and on the environment, within the confines of sound economics and the technology currently available to us.

Our Mission

The attributes and qualities that we deliver are a direct result of our company mission which is to try and be our customers best paint supplier. At the centre of our mission is our company's Quality Policy: We are committed to satisfying our customers by formulating and manufacturing products that will meet if not exceed their expectations. To this end, we will work to continuously improve the quality of our products and effectiveness of our quality management system.
